International Dowsing Day 5 May 2013
Here is a list of events that we know about:
Archaeology
and Earth Energies Special Interest Groups: We are running
a combined weekend for the first time in many years looking at some of
the most
spectacular and mysterious sites in Dorset including the Dorset Cursus,
Martin Down,
Pembury Knoll, Knowlton Henge and Bokerley Ditch.
Trencrom Dowsers: This year on May 5th we plan to meet
on Trencrom Hill, West
Penwith, Cornwall, where the Athena energy current passes, on its journey
from
Skellig Michael in Ireland, across the tip of Cornwall and then across
Europe to Israel.
Particularly appropriate, this is also the hill that gave the group its
name. Dowsers,
Earth Singers and friends are invited to meet on the hill to focus on
love and
harmony for the people and landscape. It is hoped to make contact with
other
dowsers across Europe, to join with us at the same time along the current.
Exploring
the Athena and Apollo energy currents was a 10-year dowsing journey for
Hamish
Miller and Paul Broadhurst, (and their partners), and recorded in The
Dance of
the Dragon and a set of beautiful handpainted maps. We also remember
Hamish's birthday on that day. Please see our website for further details:

Ogden
and Rachel Fish to celebrate International Dowsing Day as a scientific
survey.

Carmarthen Castle to celebrate
IDD.We hope that members of the public will be interested in what we are
doing, and
perhaps even join in and have a go!

teach dowsing on Saturday, May 4th in
Slimbridge Village Hall from 11am to 3:30pm. Free tuition will be available

a

of the
place and my own ideas to anyone who wants to hear. Will I see you there?

with a practical trip to St

2012 Background
BSD member Mike Barwell proposed that 5 May (birthday
of the late dowser Hamish Miller) be declared 'International Dowsing Day'
as an annual event. The Society is supporting this idea, and we invited
all BSD Affiliated Local Groups, International Dowsing Societies, as well
as individual members and other interested folk to consider what they
could do in their local areas.
We used this page to keep you up to date with plans as
they developed – and there is more information on the
Facebook page for the event.
Please let us know what you are intending to do and also let us know afterwards
what your findings were - email info@britishdowsers.org.
In brief:
• You can design an event to suit your own interests
and strengths
• There is no need to consider an expensive plan
• This could be the first of an annual event if considered successful
- let's make it happen!

So, put the weekend of 4th/5th May 2013
in your diaries now!
